# Germany's UFA Gives Staff an In-House AI Chatbot and Chases Its Own IP

German production group UFA launches "UFA Nova AI", an in-house platform giving all staff enterprise versions of ChatGPT, Gemini and DeepL with group chats, script and spreadsheet uploads and a copyright check for images, DWDL reports, and is developing a "UFA Nova Creative Suite" for creative staff that bundles Runway, Flux and ElevenLabs. Christian Rohde becomes Chief Transformation & AI Officer, AI runs through a group AI Board, a cross-company AI team and implementation managers at each subsidiary, and a new central business development unit prioritises projects where UFA keeps the rights and brands, across branded entertainment, live events, vertical content and gaming. The shift follows the loss of RTL's daily soap "Unter uns", which DWDL puts at double-digit millions in annual revenue.
