ZDF Studios, the commercial distribution arm of German public broadcaster ZDF, leads its MIPCOM slate with "Grand Hotel by the Sea", an 8x50' romantic period drama from Big Blue for KRO-NCRV and VRT about a hotel owner building a luxury destination on the Dutch coast between 1912 and 1919\. It also brings "Benidorm is Murder", a 6x60' mystery starring John Hannah for Channel 5, the doppelganger thriller "Shifters" from Network Movie and Studio Zentral, the legal drama "LEX" from De Mensen and DPG Media, and a second season of "The Lady Grace Mysteries", in production with the BBC for 2027 delivery. Chief commercial officer Tim Gerhartz frames the slate as German content alongside European coproductions.
