Projects funded under Austria's Film/Fernseh-Abkommen, the film and television agreement between public broadcaster ORF and the Austrian Film Institute, may not use AI-generated music, must apply ORF's current AI guidelines and must disclose with timecodes which AI systems were used, the institute says in a notice on the EU AI Act. At delivery, producers hand over a timecoded script and a detailed edit list separating their own footage, ORF archive, AI-generated material and third-party material with sources; the rules apply to ORF contracts from 2 August 2026, when the AI Act's labelling duties took effect, and the Act lets artistic and fictional works place the AI notice where it does not spoil the work.
