Banijay Finland develops "Disqualified", a journalistic thriller series based on the book by sports journalist Johanna Aatsalo, with Laura Birn ("Foundation", "Purge") attached to star, and unveils it at Rome's MIA market on 22 October. Inspired by true events, it follows a journalist who uncovers evidence of systematic doping in the country's "world-famous national ski team", set against "one of Finland's most notorious sporting scandals", with abuse of power, corruption and press freedom as its themes. Minna Virkajärvi executive produces; no writer, director, broadcaster or episode count is named.
