Bora Dagtekin's "Der perfekte Urlaub", which takes the ensemble of his 2019 hit "Das perfekte Geheimnis" to a finca on Mallorca, opened at No. 1 in Germany with 535,000 tickets including previews after its 22 October release, the best start for a German film this year, and also tops the Austrian chart, Constantin Film reports. Adjusted for population, that is roughly the per-capita equivalent of 2.1 million US tickets in one opening. "Das perfekte Geheimnis" sold 5.3 million tickets as Germany's most successful local film of 2019; the sequel stars Elyas M'Barek, Karoline Herfurth, Jessica Schwarz and Florian David Fitz, with funding from FFF Bayern, the FFA and the DFFF.
