Boomerang TV has started shooting "El Supermercado", a ten-episode, 25-minute mockumentary comedy for Movistar Plus+ and Prime Video in 2027, following the staff of a supermarket where nothing works as it should while a documentary crew records the mistakes. It is based on the Dutch format "Vakkenvullers", already adapted in Germany as "Die Discounter" and in Italy as "Super Market"; Pablo Guerrero directs, Jaime Olías adapts, and Oriol Capel, Olías and David Galán Galindo write. Pablo Chiapella leads a cast with Natalia Rodríguez, Alejandro Mesa, Virginia Buika, Carlos Bernardino and Lucía Diez, and Luis Santamaría is executive producer for Boomerang TV.
