Zentropa has started shooting "Mit livs eventyr", working English title "My Fairytale Life", Nikolaj Arcel's seventh feature, written by Arcel and Anders Thomas Jensen, with Casper Kjær Jensen as the young Hans Christian Andersen and Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Ulrich Thomsen, David Dencik, Clara Dessau and Danica Curcic in the cast. The shoot is spread over the municipalities of Assens, Svendborg and Nyborg on the island of Funen, with regional fund FilmFyn as partner, and moves on to Italy, Copenhagen and Germany; Zentropa says support from the Danish Film Institute and FilmFyn plus Denmark's new production rebate kept a substantial share of the shoot in Denmark. Louise Vesth and Tine Mikkelsen produce with Zentropa Germany and coproducer Film i Väst, backed by Eurimages, Germany's DFFF and FFA, MOIN and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, with TV 2, Nordisk Film & TV Fond and NRK on board; Nordisk Film Distribution opens it in Danish cinemas in late 2027 and TrustNordisk handles international sales.
