Universal Music Group and Polish-founded ElevenLabs have signed a multi-year licensing and strategic partnership to develop AI-powered music creation tools. The agreement gives ElevenLabs access to UMG's catalogue for a new consumer platform where fans can create remixes, mashups and personalized vocal experiences with participating artists. The deal runs separately from ElevenLabs' existing Music API and ElevenMusic app. ElevenLabs, founded in Warsaw in 2022 and headquartered in London, has already paid $22 million to voice creators through its marketplace, roughly $2,100 per creator. Financial terms of the UMG deal were not disclosed.
