ZDF Orders Three-Part DDR Football Documentary

ZDF commissions "Go West! - Die letzte Elf der DDR", a three-part documentary series on the final East German national football team during the fall of the Berlin Wall. Directors Christoph Eder and Markus Brauckmann trace how players Matthias Sammer, Ulf Kirsten and Andreas Thom navigated uncertain futures between November 1989 and September 1990. The series streams from September 18 and broadcasts September 26 at midnight.
