Almost 50 organisations, including ITV, the BBC, Channel 4 and the unions and guilds involved in TV drama production, back the TV Drama Production Race Action Plan, which UK crew union Bectu launched with the Creative Diversity Network at ITV's West London premises on September 17. The plan gives heads of department practical guidance on hiring and keeping diverse crews, drawn up by Bectu's Black Members' Committee with drama production departments, and adds a voluntary code of conduct and a complaints procedure endorsed by the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service, the UK's workplace dispute body.
