Apple TV+ Closes Its German Originals Office

Franziska An der Gassen, who built Apple TV+'s German production slate from scratch over nearly five years, is leaving the company at the end of September. Apple will not replace her position; responsibility for the DACH region shifts to Jay Hunt's London office. The Munich-based executive oversaw shows including "Where's Wanda?" and Grimme Award-winner "Krank Berlin", which she says earned more than 25 awards and nominations combined. Apple still has a Berlin Noir adaptation with Jack Lowden in development but will manage it from London.
