ZDF has begun production on "Eifeltod," a new crime series shooting in Eupen and the surrounding area of Belgium's German-speaking community through late October. Marie Burchard leads as Chief Inspector Jackie Baumgartner opposite Bastian Reiber. Rowboat Film- und Fernsehproduktion produces alongside beside productions, with Michael Schneider directing from scripts by Thorsten Wettcke and Adrian Illien. The first two films carry the working titles "Das Madchen im Hohen Venn" and "Dammbruch."
