Netflix Rom-Com by Simon Verhoeven Begins Shooting at Oktoberfest

German director Simon Verhoeven begins shooting his Netflix feature debut at the Theresienwiese in Munich as the Oktoberfest opens. The romantic comedy, produced by Wiedemann & Berg Film with Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann, centers on a young waitress at the festival. Production uses roughly 4,000 extras and a reconstructed beer tent at Studio Penzing. Verhoeven's previous credits include the social media thriller "Friend Request" and the comedy "Willkommen bei den Hartmanns".
