Paradox Interactive sells Playrion, the Paris studio behind "Airlines Manager" and "Airport Simulator: First Class" that it bought in 2020, to Copenhagen's Trophy Games for €2.25 million (roughly $2.6 million) upfront plus an earn-out of 9% of net revenue over three years, with closing expected September 30. Paradox chief executive Fredrik Wester calls it a step toward focusing the company on strategy and management games for PC and console. For Trophy Games, listed on First North Denmark, it is the largest acquisition in its history: Playrion has about 30 employees and roughly €4 million (~$4.7 million) in annual revenue and stays independent in its Paris studio, and the buyer lifts its 2026 revenue guidance to 170 to 180 million Danish kroner (~$27 million to $28 million).
