"Babygirl" Director Halina Reijn Takes Dutch Film Culture Prize as "Truly Naked" Sweeps Golden Calves

Muriel d'Ansembourg's "Truly Naked" wins six Golden Calves at the Netherlands Film Festival, among them best feature film, best director and best screenplay, for producers Isabella Depeweg and Els Vandevorst of Isabella Films. The festival's Golden Calf for Film Culture goes to Halina Reijn, who made "Bodies Bodies Bodies" for A24, wrote and directed "Babygirl" through her company Man Up and is about to shoot "Please" for A24; the festival cites her career in America and says she has opened doors for Dutch film. Hollands Licht's "BASTA" takes best drama series and best series director for Remy van Heugten, and Mike van Diem's "Voor de Meisjes" wins the audience award.
