ITV Studios Germany Chief Expects Five Flat Years for German TV Orders

Christiane Ruff, who runs the German production arm of Britain's ITV Studios and leaves in 2027 with Fabian Tobias succeeding her, tells DWDL she sees no recovery in German commissioning for the next five years, with luck a flatline here and there. Broadcasters now rarely pay for development, she says, and her company recently worked three and a half months on a project at its own cost without getting an order. ITV Studios Germany makes "Das perfekte Dinner" for Vox, which runs to more than 200 episodes a year, along with "Ninja Warrior" and "Genial daneben".
