HBO Max orders "A Decent Man" (working title), a six-part German HBO Original from UFA Fiction starring Max Riemelt as heart surgeon Dr. Moritz Berner, whose career, house, marriage and son are all put at stake by one impulsive decision, Warner Bros. Discovery Deutschland announces. Florian Oeller writes and Dustin Loose directs; the two conceived the series, inspired by the Polish series "Porządny człowiek", and Wanja Valentin Kube, Kristin Suckow, Nico Marischka and Karin Hanczewski co-star. Nataly Kudiabor produces for UFA Fiction, Clemens Baumeister shoots, and the German Motion Picture Fund, Germany's federal incentive for high-end production, backs it. No shoot dates or release window are announced.
