Vertical Minds launches EiLiN, which it calls the first vertical streaming platform in the German-speaking market, with 10 to 15 series at the start, all shot in 9:16 for phones in episodes of often one to two minutes that end on a cliffhanger, managing director Sophie Werdin tells Munich's Medientage. Unlike the Asian and US apps that charge per episode in virtual coins, EiLiN sells a monthly subscription, price still to be set but under €15 (roughly $17.50), plus season passes, advertising and brand integration, and plans creator and broadcaster partnerships and to buy series from producers. RTLZwei is testing the format with a 60-episode vertical spin-off of its reality soap "Berlin Tag & Nacht" for TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, and Constantin Entertainment has already made several series in Cologne for international platform Crisp Momentum; the organiser puts the 2026 global market for micro dramas at an estimated $14 billion.
