Studio Babelsberg starts an AI and virtual production masterclass in which five production companies develop trailers, pilot sequences and marketing material with AI-assisted workflows on its LEDcave and Grey Stage, funded with €595,000 (roughly $690,000) by regional fund Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and due to finish in spring 2027. The projects are "Ins Reich" (seven200 AI Studios and red sun films), "Oval" (Fireglory Pictures), "Otherland" (Mount Devil), "Conspiracy" (Dynamic Television and seven200 AI Studios) and "Grisella" (Ninety-Minute Film and Milkyway Films); VFX specialist Marc Weigert leads the course, with T-Systems' Industrial AI Cloud, NVIDIA and MediaTech Hub Potsdam as partners. Studio CEO Jörg Bachmaier's pitch to filmmakers: "Don't let AI have all the fun!"
