Canal+ revenue reached €6.41 billion (roughly $7.4 billion) in the first nine months of 2026, up 37.5% on a restated basis after its MultiChoice takeover and down 0.3% like-for-like, with European revenue down 1.4% to €3.36 billion (~$3.9 billion), the group's trading update shows. Content production, distribution and other revenue rose 9.3% to €530 million (~$615 million) on Studiocanal's box office and sales and February's acquisition of Lucky Red, and CEO Maxime Saada calls 2026 "a landmark year for STUDIOCANAL", naming "Pressure", "Les Misérables", "The Doll (Lalka)" and the third "Shaun the Sheep" film. France's 2027 draft budget proposes a higher VAT rate on Canal+ in France, and the group says it will raise prices and cut costs significantly if it passes.
