Streaming will bring in €8.6 billion (roughly $10 billion) in Germany in 2026, 52% of the country's audiovisual and audio market and the first time it passes classic media, against 26% in 2019, German commercial media association VAUNET forecasts. The whole market grows 1.8% to €16.3 billion (~$18.9 billion), made up of €7.8 billion in pay revenue, €6.4 billion in advertising and €2.2 billion in teleshopping; TV advertising falls 6% to €3.1 billion while video streaming advertising rises 15% to about €2.5 billion, paid video on demand climbs 4.5% to about €3.7 billion and pay-TV slips 4% to €1.9 billion. VAUNET managing director Frank Giersberg says 72% of video streaming ad revenue goes to Alphabet, Amazon, ByteDance and Meta.
