Bavaria Fiction and Engizek Films are shooting the romantic dramedy "The Munich Billionaire" (working title) in Munich as a 90-minute film in 16:9 and a vertical series in 9:16, developed together from the start, DWDL reports. Barbara Elisabeth Bühl plays a 30-year-old heiress who must name a fiancé by midnight and marry within 28 days or see her fortune go to a foundation, with Vladimir Korneev, Klemens Valentino Laumer, Ercan Durmaz and Dionne Wudu in the cast; Ekrem Engizek created, wrote and produces it, André Siebert directs and edits, and Michael Hilscher is executive producer. The vertical episodes go out worldwide on the platform 9n16.com and the film is distributed internationally on its own; Engizek tells DWDL that vertical fiction "is not a shortened feature film" but a format with its own dramaturgy, visual language and pace.
