Arte president Heike Hempel and TVP director general Tomasz Sygut sign an association agreement in Warsaw on 16 October, at a summit on the film industry and co-production policy, Arte announces. The agreement takes effect on 1 January 2027, can be extended after two years, and promises more co-productions, with Poland's public broadcaster gaining an advisory voice in Arte's main bodies, in particular the member assembly of ARTE G.E.I.E. Sygut calls the signing "a further step on the long road to restoring the standing and credibility of TVP"; the other partners include NPO, Suspilne, SVT, RTVE, RAI Com, ORF, YLE, RTÉ and SRG SSR.
