Comedy Format "Taskmaster" Moves Into France's TF1

TF1 commissions a French version of "Taskmaster", the comedy competition format, hosted by Camille Combal and produced by 1367 Productions as a 60-minute primetime series to launch in 2027, distributor Avalon says. France joins 15 other territories, and more than 100 series and 1,000 hours of the format have now been produced; Avalon cites more than a million viewers for RTL4 in the Netherlands, TVN's best primetime launch in five years in Poland, a best entertainment programme win at Portugal's Globos de Ouro, and North American YouTube viewing up 85% year on year to more than 215 million views. "We are incredibly excited, and, I have to admit, a little daunted, to bring Taskmaster to France," says Julien Degroote, EVP content development at TF1 Group.
