Disney hires Philip Pratt, who ran German originals for Prime Video at Amazon MGM Studios for more than eleven years, as vice president for local originals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from February 2027, DWDL reports. He reports to Angela Jain, Disney's head of content for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and fills a post empty since Benjamina Mirnik-Voges left in April; his Amazon credits include the romance series "Maxton Hall", the local "LOL: Last One Laughing" and the war film "Der Tiger". Eun-Ky Park, who runs Disney in Germany, tells DWDL the company wants to triple its investment in local productions; titles in its German pipeline include "City of Blood", "Yacht Deals Monaco", "Vienna Game", "Under the Ice" and "Monster", from a Nele Neuhaus novel.
