Channel 4 appoints David Brindley, chief executive of Twofour, the producer of Eugene Levy's "The Reluctant Traveler" and "Educating Yorkshire", as Director of Programmes, with full commissioning and editorial responsibility across scripted and unscripted. He joins in January and becomes an executive member of the Channel 4 board, leading commissioning alongside Louisa Compton, director of news, digital and audience trust, and Kiran Nataraja, director of content strategy. Brindley previously ran popular factual and factual entertainment commissioning at the BBC, where his titles included "Race Across the World", and was a Channel 4 documentaries commissioning editor on "One Born Every Minute" and "24 Hours in A&E".
