Storyboard Studios' "Loch nam Madadh", a 6x10-minute Scottish Gaelic horror series that its release pitches as proof that worse things happen at sea, launches on October 23 on BBC iPlayer and the BBC ALBA YouTube channel. Claire Aza-Selinger created and writes it with co-writer Maureen Macleod, both from the Western Isles, Alasdair MacLean directs, and Andrew MacInnes, Ellen Macdonald, Alasdair Jordan and Elspeth Turner lead the cast. Gaelic media service MG ALBA, BBC Scotland and Screen Scotland fund the series, which Screen Scotland's head of scripted Kieran Hannigan calls "a bold, Gaelic digital-first drama".
