Gustaf Skarsgård makes his feature directing debut with "Kannibalen på Fårö", shooting in the powder magazine of the Bastion Carolus Rex and at Gothenburg Film Studios, one of nine productions that Film i Väst, the West Sweden regional film fund and co-producer, has shooting in the region this autumn. The others include Mia Hansen-Løve's Mary Wollstonecraft drama "If Love Should Die" with Renate Reinsve, three new Johan Falk films for commercial broadcaster TV4 directed by Pella Kågerman, Hugo Lilja and Richard Holm, SVT's Camilla Läckberg adaptation "Fjällbacka: Skulden" and Per-Olav Sørensen's Bobbysocks film "La det swinge". Skarsgård's film and the Hansen-Løve premiere in 2027, and the Johan Falk films, which bring the character back to Gothenburg after more than ten years, in summer 2027.
