Shooting has begun on the fifth film in "Die Schule der magischen Tiere" ("The School of Magical Animals"), which its distributor Leonine Studios calls a cinema sensation, and runs until the end of November in Bavaria, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony and Berlin. Alexandra Kordes directs and co-writes with Nicole Armbruster and Mirjam Müntefering, Alexandra and Meike Kordes produce for Kordes & Kordes Film Süd with Leonine Studios, Kodachrome and Kollmuß & Partner as co-producers, and Eva Marlen Hirschburger and Goya Rego lead the young cast, with Justus von Dohnányi, Milan Peschel, Meltem Kaptan, Christina Große and Heiko Pinkowski among the adults. Germany's federal DFFF and FFA, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, FFF Bayern and Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung back the film, and Leonine releases it in German cinemas on September 30, 2027.
