RTL Hands Its Own Crime Series to Rival ARD for the Premiere

"Mord im Revier", a two-film crime series set in Germany's Ruhr region that commercial broadcaster RTL commissioned from UFA Fiction in 2023, premieres on public broadcaster ARD's Das Erste on Saturday 5 December under a licence deal with ARD Degeto, DWDL reports, quoting an RTL spokesperson; RTL plans its own run in 2027 in its Tuesday crime block. Tommy Wosch developed it and wrote the scripts with Alexandre Powelz, Ismail Sahin directs, and Caro Cult and Eidin Jalali play the detective pair.
