Sat.1 Swaps Its Early-Evening Drama for "Deal or no Deal"

German commercial broadcaster Sat.1 ends "Team Sonnenhof", a spinoff of Filmpool's daily drama "Die Landarztpraxis", in its 7 p.m. slot and replaces it from Monday 14 December with a revival of the game show "Deal or no Deal" hosted by Jörg Pilawa, DWDL reports from an interview with ProSiebenSat.1 chief content officer Henrik Pabst. Banijay Productions Germany has made 18 double episodes with a top prize of €100,000 (roughly $117,000), down from €250,000 in earlier German versions, and no new season of the original "Landarztpraxis" has been announced.
