UK film and high-end television production spend reached £6.8 billion in 2025, up 22%, with film alone at £2.77 billion across 193 titles, a 31% rise and the highest annual figure on record, according to BFI official statistics published on 5 February. Inward investment accounted for £5.8 billion of the combined total, about 85%, and inward investment film spend alone rose 35% to £2.51 billion. Domestic UK film spend was £193 million, up 4%, and UK co-productions fell 14% to £68 million.
