FKA twigs has begun principal photography as Josephine Baker in a biopic directed by Maimouna Doucoure, the Cesar- and Sundance-winning filmmaker behind Cuties and Hawa. StudioCanal is producing and distributing across France, the UK, Germany, Italy, Benelux, Poland, Australia and New Zealand. Cameras are rolling in Paris, the Dordogne and Sofia, Bulgaria through mid-November. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Giuseppe Maggio, Gregory Montel and Benjamin Millepied join the cast. This is the first major Baker film to receive the estate's full endorsement.
