NDR, MOIN Filmfoerderung and nordmedia have selected three emerging-filmmaker projects for Nordlichter 2026, awarding EUR 1.15 million (~$1.33 million) each. Glass Frog Film's Das war meins, a comedy about bicycle theft directed by Carly Coco, and Junafilm's Elias, a dystopian survival thriller from Hamburg Media School graduate Reza Sam Mosadegh, take the Hamburg slots; Simon Schneider's housing-crisis thriller Unter Mietern represents Lower Saxony. All three will receive NDR editorial oversight and distribution through ARD's media platform.
