Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment reported that Alan Wake 2 has sold more than three million copies in its H1 2026 financial results published August 11. The 2023 survival horror sequel remains Remedy's fastest-selling game, and development and marketing costs have been fully recouped. Remedy self-publishes its next title, Control Resonant, on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Annapurna Pictures co-finances 50% of the budget in exchange for film and TV rights to the Control and Alan Wake franchises.
