The European Commission opened a call for evidence on 29 July on an AI strategy for the cultural and creative sectors, and it closes on 11 September 2026. Artists, creators, rights holders, professional associations, AI providers, developers, researchers and public authorities may respond, as may members of the public with an interest in culture and AI. The stated aim is a strategy under which AI "complements, rather than replaces, human creativity", supports broader access to culture and knowledge, and contributes to a fair, sustainable, innovative and competitive European creative economy.
