Nina Hoss Crosses the Alps as an Outcast Doctor in "Die andere Seite"

Mariko Minoguchi's "Die andere Seite", which she wrote and directed, opens in German cinemas on 22 October through X Verleih after its Munich premiere, Bavarian regional fund FFF Bayern announces. Nina Hoss plays Hanna, a doctor who has lost everything to a contagious disease and is shut out of society, until in the mountains she meets another outcast, Lila (Precious Mariam Sanusi), and crosses the Alps with her; Barbara Petritsch co-stars. Trini Götze and David Armati Lechner produce for Trimafilm with Austria's Rundfilm (Constanze Schumann, Thomas Kiennast) and broadcasters BR and Arte, with Felix Pflieger as cinematographer and Marie-Luise Balzer as production designer.
