Movistar Plus+ starts shooting "Néstor", an original feature documentary about cinematographer Néstor Almendros, the first Spaniard to win an Oscar, directed by Laurent Bouzereau and produced by J. A. Bayona with Bouzereau, Belén Atienza, Markus Keith and Óscar Romagosa, with Javier Bardem giving Almendros his voice. Esteve Riambau and Josep Maria Civit write it and Civit shoots it, and the Spanish-US coproduction, supported by Spain's film agency ICAA, films for several months in Barcelona, Paris, London, New York and Cuba ahead of a Spanish theatrical release through A Contracorriente. Bayona says Almendros "inspired many filmmakers of our generation".
