Banijay UK creates Banijay Scotland, a Glasgow hub over Lion Television Scotland and IWC whose slate includes "Homes Under the Hammer", "Location Location Location" and a rebooted "Balamory", while The Comedy Unit, maker of "Scot Squad", stays a standalone label. In the same restructuring, Objective Media Group narrows to scripted comedy and drama under Objective Fiction's Ben Farrell, handing "TOWIE", "Geordie Shore" and "Celebs Go Dating" to Initial and "Lingo" to Remarkable Entertainment, and North One, maker of "Fifth Gear" and "Travel Man", becomes a label inside Optomen. Banijay UK chief executive Patrick Holland says "the market moves away from smaller, local commissions" toward "shows of scale and/or digital-first"; leadership roles in Scotland and at North One are still to be announced, and the release gives no headcount.
