The Norwegian Film Institute awards NOK 14.3 million (roughly $1.4 million) in development support to nine games in its third games round of 2026, which drew a record 67 applications. The largest grants go to children's titles: NOK 3.2 million (~$320,000) to Playful Rebels' "Pelle Politibil og museumstyveriet" for ages four to eight, and NOK 3.04 million (~$300,000) to Rain Games for "Saajve", a hand-painted 2D adventure based on the animated film "Saajve", which the institute says will be the first Sámi feature-length animated film. Krillbite Studio's noir comedy "Indognito" takes NOK 2.5 million (~$250,000), and the rest of the round goes to Guppyworks, Billionworlds, Snow Leaf Studios, Pixfork Games, Kay & Erlend Games and Arik Games.
