The Norwegian Film Institute puts 5.35 million kroner (~$500,000) into "Badegjestene", an eight-part NRK series from creator and director Emilie Beck, co-written with Rebekka Wirkola Kjellmann, that moves Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler, Nora Helmer and Ellida Wangel to an exclusive summer setting on Tjøme. Miso Film Norge produces it for a 2028 premiere, which the institute calls the Ibsen year. The same round gives 3.5 million kroner (~$330,000) to "Isfolket", Rubicon's six-part adaptation of Margit Sandemo's "Sagaen om Isfolket" novels for TV2 in Norway and TV4 in Sweden, created and written by Anne Bjørnstad and Eilif Skodvin with Bjørnstad directing and Iceland's New Media Arc coproducing. The two series carry total budgets of 38 million kroner (~$3.6 million) and about 42.8 million kroner (~$4 million).
