The Nordic Council Film Prize 2026 goes to Joachim Trier, Eskil Vogt, Maria Ekerhovd and Andrea Berentsen Ottmar for "Affeksjonsverdi" ("Sentimental Value"), which won the 2026 Oscar for best international feature, the Norwegian Film Institute announces. The 300,000 Danish kroner (roughly $46,000) prize is split equally between the film's director, writers and producers and is handed out by the Nordic Council, the region's inter-parliamentary body, on 27 October in a ceremony streamed on norden.org; Norway last won in 2024 with Dag Johan Haugerud's "SEX", and this year all of the Nordic Council's prizes go to Norway, which the institute says has never happened before.
