ZDF streams "Wake Up", a six-part near-future drama of 45-minute episodes for ZDFneo, from 23 October and airs it from 28 October; it follows Emilia, whose sister Clara has lain in a coma since a skiing accident, as a researcher's nanobot fear-therapy trial triggers an unexpected transfer of consciousness. U5 Filmproduktion produces from J. K. Messum's novel "HUSK" and a series concept by Jamie Brittain, with head writers Arpana Aischa Berndt and Raquel Dukpa and directors Mia Maariel Meyer and Tim Trachte; Luna Jordan leads opposite Alicia von Rittberg, Aybi Era and Désirée Nosbusch, with funding from FMS NRW, Hessen Film & Medien, GMPF, IDM and the Italian tax credit. U5's Katrin Haase and Oliver Arnold won the Bernd Burgemeister Television Prize for best TV series at Filmfest München for it, and ZDF says Jordan died suddenly on 13 May 2026, shortly before the series was finished; its festival premiere was dedicated to her.
