Germany's ZDF Airs BBC Hit "Ludwig" After Coproducing Its Second Season

ZDF airs the six episodes of the first season of BBC crime comedy "Ludwig" from 29 November, two a night late on Sunday evenings from 10:15 p.m., under the German subtitle "Mörderische Rätsel", DWDL reports, and was a coproducer on the second season, which aired in the UK shortly before. David Mitchell plays puzzle setter John Taylor, who poses as his missing twin brother James, a senior police detective in Cambridge, at the urging of his sister-in-law Lucy (Anna Maxwell Martin). DWDL says the series reached more than 9.5 million people within a month of its 2024 BBC premiere, and that a third season is ordered along with a Christmas special due in 2026.
