All eight episodes of the fifth and final season arrive on the ARD Mediathek on 10 September, with Das Erste airing them in two blocks of four on 19 and 25 September. Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries and Henk Handloegten write and direct again, Volker Bruch and Liv Lisa Fries return, and Clemens Schick, Ulrich Noethen and Devid Striesow join. X Filme Creative Pool produces with ARD Degeto, WDR, SWR, HR, Radio Bremen and Beta Film, funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and the German Motion Picture Fund.
