Fjord, written and directed by Cristian Mungiu and starring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve, won the Palme d'Or at the 79th Festival de Cannes, announced 23 May. The 146 minute film is a Romania, France, Norway, Sweden and Denmark production made by Mobra Film, Why Not Productions, Eye Eye Pictures, Snowglobe Film, Aamu Film Company, Filmgate Films and Garagefilm International. Goodfellas handles world sales and Le Pacte releases in France.
