Yoko Higuchi-Zitzmann, the former CEO of Telepool and a veteran of Constantin Film and Pantaleon Films, has launched Dreamkite Studios in Munich and Berlin with writer and AI filmmaker Mark Wachholz. The company will develop premium films, high-end TV series and IP-based short-form content using generative AI combined with traditional filmmaking and professional casts. Higuchi-Zitzmann's credits include Oscar winner "La Vie En Rose" and international hit "My Blind Date With Life," which sold to 54 countries. Wachholz's 2025 AI film "The Cinema That Never Was" won Grand Prizes at the Omni International AI Film Festival, judged by George Miller, and Artefact AI Film Festival, chaired by Cédric Klapisch. The slate in development includes Wachholz's near-future conspiracy feature "Céremony," a Top 12 Finalist in the $1 million 1BFS and Google Gemini AI Film Award, and the hybrid feature adaptation of bestselling novel "The Color of Stars." The studio is in advanced talks with a major gaming company.
