Caren Wuhrer's "Lord", which she wrote and directed, world premieres on September 27 at the CinemaxX Dammtor in Hamburg, with Lina Isabell Sturm as the 17-year-old title character and Bardo Böhlefeld as her father. Markus Mayr produces for MÄKSMY Films on a €1.15 million (roughly $1.35 million) budget through Nordlichter, the talent programme run by public broadcaster NDR with regional funds nordmedia and MOIN Filmförderung, and the film shot 21 days in spring 2026, 18 of them in the Hamburg housing estate of Steilshoop. It goes on to NDR television and the ARD Mediathek streaming service.
