Fandango Sales takes all international rights to "Galileo", Roan Johnson's film starring Elio Germano as Galileo Galilei, and introduces the €8 million (roughly $9.4 million) feature to buyers at Rome's MIA Market, Variety reports. Bibi Film produces with Rai Cinema and with the participation of HBO Max, Fandango also distributes in Italy, and principal photography, which started in late September, runs through November. Johnson, who wrote the screenplay and directed Sky's long-running "I delitti del BarLume", frames the story as a stream of consciousness running from Galileo's schooling at Vallombrosa through his years at the University of Padua and his life with Marina Gamba to the trial over his "Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems".
