Prime Video Hires Ex-Netflix Film Chief to Replace German Head Who Left for Disney

Sasha Bühler, who spent seven years as Netflix's film chief, becomes Head of German Originals at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios on 1 December, DWDL reports, citing Deadline. She succeeds Philip Pratt, who left Amazon a few months ago to run originals for the German-speaking market at Disney from early 2027, and reports to Tara Erer, Amazon's Director of Northern European Originals, UK Unscripted & Film. Before Netflix, where her years produced the four-time Oscar winner "All Quiet on the Western Front" ("Im Westen nichts Neues"), Bühler spent eleven years at German producer and distributor Constantin Film, including as Head of Acquisitions & International Co-Productions.
